Chris Rock performed two comedy sets at The Wilbur in Boston for his Ego Death world tour on Wednesday, in his first public appearance since the 94th Academy Awards. During the event on Sunday, Oscar-winner Will Smith slapped the comedian for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, People reports.

“I haven’t talked to anyone, despite what you heard,” the 57-year-old told the crowd, according to People.

Previous reports quoted Diddy saying that Rock and Will had settled their differences.

“That’s not a problem. That’s over. I can confirm that,” Diddy said, according to Complex. “It’s all love. They’re brothers.”

However, the rapper clarified his statements, saying, “I never confirmed they had reconciled. I said, ‘As brothers, they will work it out and let’s move on with love,” Diddy said, TMZ reports.

A source revealed to the outlet that Diddy recognizes that the people involved are hurting and doesn’t want to “take the focus off of the conflict moving forward in the right way.”

During his second show, Rock said he didn’t want to “talk about that s**t,” and that he was “still processing what happened.” He also assured his fans he would talk about the incident sometime in the future in a more serious environment.

After the conclusion of one of Rock’s shows, an attendee said “everyone stood up and cheered for him again,” according to People.

Rock also ignored a few hecklers in the audience who shouted out “Will Smith.”

After the altercation on Sunday’s broadcast, ticket prices for Rock’s comedy tour surged.

On Monday, Will posted a statement on his Instagram, apologizing to Rock for his behavior.

“I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness,” Will said on the post.
