Cuba Gooding Jr. turned himself in to the New York Police Department to answer for groping allegations.

The 51-year-old actor is accused of groping a woman’s breast while they were in a New York club on Sunday night, according to The New York Times.

Page Six reports the 30-year-old woman claims Gooding was “highly intoxicated” when he touched her. After the alleged incident, the pair argued and had to be separated by security.

Gooding Jr. is expected to be charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor offense. If convicted, Gooding faces up to one year in prison. A law enforcement official claims surveillance footage corroborates the unidentified woman’s account.

“They believe it," the source said. “It’s real. It’s on video.”

The Radio star cited the security video when he denied the allegations.

“I trust the system, let the process speak for itself,” he told TMZ. “There’s a tape that shows what really happened.”

Gooding's lawyer, Mark J. Heller, said, “There was not a drop of criminal conduct or inappropriate activity on his part.”

“I know the video, which covered the entire evening, shows absolutely no conduct or any inappropriateness on Cuba’s part,” he told People. “And I am frankly shocked the prosecutor would consider a case like this.”

Heller asserts the allegations are out of character for his client.

“I have known Cuba for almost 30 years and his conduct towards women is always respectful,” he said. “He respects women and he would never engage in that type of activity.”

The NYPD is also investigating another groping incident involving the actor. Gooding might not be charged for this incident since the statute of limitations for forcible touching is two years.
