Following the recent 13-1 vote and removal of the statue of Confederate army soldier Robert E. Lee from it's Dallas park post (a park also named after the leader), city residents have decided that it is already time for a new statue to be proctored to replace the old. What better personification to portray the opposite of what Lee stood for than the empowering, soulful embodiment of Erykah Badu?

A petition of over 1,300 signatures started by Central Track, simply asks city officials to "Change Robert E. Lee Park To Erykah Badu Park." According to the petition curators, this decision is already a no-brainer. As of this morning, they're just about 100 shy of their end goal.
