If you’re in Maryland, Dave Chapelle wants you to vote for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous in the midterm elections today. The comedian is campaigning on behalf of the politician by personally calling Maryland voters and even helping them with their chores, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Like Oprah and Michael B. Jordan in Georgia, Chappelle also took a more hands-on approach by canvassing the state, knocking on doors. He even helped a few people with their groceries, seen on Jealous' Twitter account.

In another video posted on Twitter, Chappelle called a constituent on the phone as he charmingly attempted to coax them into voting for the gubernatorial candidate.

The Washington, D.C. native has familial ties to the gubernatorial candidate; his father and Jealous were best friends.

"I’m in his campaign office right now," the comedian told voters over the phone. "Ben and my father were best friends. He’s my godbrother. I’ve known him all my life, and I’m here supporting him because I think he’s going to do the right thing by Maryland. And I would never endorse anything or anyone I don’t believe in."
