The United States Men’s Basketball team is off to a hot start opening the 2016 Rio Olympics with a 119-62 victory over China. Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony led the way, bringing back their power from the 2012 London Olympics gold-medal team. KD contributed 25 points and six assists coupled with Melo’s nine points and seven rebounds. DeMarcus Cousins put up 17 points and five rebounds. The high-flying antics came from DeMar DeRozan and his two insane dunks.
Before Saturday, six players on the Team USA Rio roster had not played in an official international game. DeAndre Jordan, being one of them, came through scoring seven points and making three of 10 free throws.
