Eric André is good at many things: comedy, acting, producing NSFW modeling… the list likely goes on. But one task that doesn’t make the list is shaving.
That isn’t shade—André is open about his ineptitude with a razor, and that’s why he’s partnered with BIC as part of the brand’s “Great Spring Unclog” campaign launching its new EasyRinse Razor.
The funny man says the new razor’s anti-clog technology is a game changer, especially for shaving-challenged people like him.

“When I’m on set, I have professional help because I am an amateur at best,” he told Blavity in a recent interview when asked about his shaving routine.
The drugstore razors André bought weren’t cutting it. More often than not, they would leave his sensitive skin irritated and riddled with bumps. But, as someone who knows the realities of living with sensitive skin all too well, we bonded over the latter.
“They’re the worst,” he said with a laugh.
But Andre doesn’t just support keeping your pores unclogged; he also co-signs people keeping their lives open too.
He shared that therapy and self-care are the way to go regarding “emotionally unclogging” your life.
“Take a month off from drinking, do a little health cleanse,” he suggested, adding he’s done both.
The 39-year-old’s work provides a release as well.
“[Comedy] allows you to channel your frustrations with yourself in society in front of an audience and get instant gratification, validation, and vindication,” he said. “Growing up, I always felt out of place and misunderstood and now [through] my career, I feel understood, seen, acknowledged.”
You’re in luck if you want more Andre-approved tidbits to improve your life.
As part of BIC’s campaign, starting March 20, you can text the actor and Schitt’s Creek star Annie Murphy at 802-242-8398 (802-BIC-TEXT). You may get a response and win $10,000 and an EasyRinse shaving kit.
But if you’re more anxious to see André on your screen, you’ll have to wait till June 4, when Season 6 of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show premieres.
