It’s been quite the week for Erykah Badu. The singer engaged in a well-rounded discussion (for the most part) regarding her opinion that school girls should wear their skirts at knee-length because men are naturally attracted to young women of child-bearing age.
As she engaged the discussion on social norms and maintaining that we’re intelligent enough creatures to evolve, she also surprised some students at Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark, NJ and this second part of the video really got down to the nitty gritty about the importance of education and her plans to open a school. Badu even shared that after her years at Grambling State University, she was a substitute teacher in her Texas hometown of Dallas and how she’s a natural with kids.
