Rapper Flo Rida’s 6-year-old son was injured after falling out of a five-story window in Jersey City, New Jersey.

As reported by News 12, Zohar Dillard, who has autism, experienced severe injuries earlier this month.

The 6-year-old is in the ICU after incurring “a shattered pelvis, left metatarsal fractures, grade 3 liver laceration, internal bleeding, and collapsed lungs after the fall,” Bossip reported.

Dillard’s mother, Alexis Adams, has since filed a lawsuit against the apartment building, claiming the windows “posed a hazardous condition” that allowed her son to fall and land on the concrete below.

“As a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces. I am devastated, angry and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to willful negligence of our landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures,” Adams wrote in a statement, per Bossip.

“It is devastating to see my child go through such pain and trauma knowing that this could’ve been avoided.”

Adams claims she made multiple requests to her landlord to install window guards but was ignored.

In the lawsuit, Adams demands “damages, together with interest, attorney’s fees, costs of suit, payment of all medical bills, and any other relief the court deems just.”
