Those who frequent the internet may know about 4chan's and Reddit's penchant for being home to some of the world's most racist and bigoted trolls. Well, one set of Donald Glover/Childish Gambino fans decided to fight back against the anger and vitriol that populated one Reddit sub-channel (aka subreddit) in a hilariously brilliant way.
According to The Atlantic, Reddit's subreddit thedonald, was created for pro-Donald Trump supporters, and boasts a 17,000 subscribers. The subreddit tends to feature posts on the deep state, immigration and the evils of the "liberal media." However, on Monday, a swarm of Glover fans began posting photos and memes on the channel, letting folks know who the true "Donald" is.
For instance, one particular user posted Glover's black-and-white headshot with the title, "The One True Donald." That post ended up getting over 45,000 upvotes.
“Not a racist. Not a rapist. Can read. Was never bankrupt. Likes Mexicans. Talented. Pays his taxes. Handsome. Loves immigrants. Not a puppet for Russia. Doesn’t want to f*ck his daughter. Must be the real one true Donald,” read another post.
Others posted mock campaign posters to promote Glover becoming president:

Of course, the takeover created a tizzy amongst the Trump lovers.
“Why is donglover all over [thedonald]? Why aren’t the mods doing anything about it?” posted one pro-Trump user.
“What the f*ck happened in the last day?” another posted.
One of the users participating in the Glover takeover promptly answered the incredulous Trump supporters' questions, with, “The sub has gone through stages: actual T_D knockoff, Trump memes, and now Donald Glover memes. Just accept it. Luckily, the moderation here is basically nonexistent, so we can do what we want!”
One subscriber let everyone know the subreddit's moderator hadn't been a part of the community for a while now, and hoped that the subreddit would become a permanent shrine to the wunderkind that is Donald Glover.
“The single mod has basically abandoned this sub, I doubt he’ll ever be back to do any actual moderating. I’m just hoping he’s inactive for another 40 days (he’s been inactive for 20 so far) so we can request a subreddit takeover, but that will likely not happen,” the user wrote in a post.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, yes, Glover has his own subreddit, which has over 79,000 subscribers.
