If you’ve been missing the awkward, yet relatable, essence of Issa Rae since Insecure’s season finale last year, then you may be in luck now that she has secured another bag.

The comedienne, writer and producer has just signed on to be the new voice of Google Assistant. Rae is a part of the product’s limited-time celebrity voice cameos, CNN reported

The 34-year-old is the first female celebrity to voice a digital assistant for services like Amazon and Google, AdWeek noted.

From weather reports to corny knock-knock jokes, the Google Assistant can help with everyday tasks and questions. Users can even ask Rae specific questions including, “What was your major?” and “Do you ever talk to yourself in the mirror?”

The Verge reported Rae dropped a few special gems in her recording session that will allow users to ask questions like, “Hey Google, do you love Daniel or Lawrence more,” or “Hey Google, tell me something awkward?”

“I was in talks to do this last year and was just really intrigued like, ‘What? They want my voice? Why?’” Rae told CNN. “Then, you know, I realized that I use Google Assistant frequently anyway and just thought about how cool it would be to do.”

The star of HBO’s Insecure told CNN the process was “pretty intensive,” requiring her to say words and sentences that made little sense.

“I’m just so used to reading them. So you're like, 'Oh, I've never actually had to say this word out loud,'” she said.

Rae joins John Legend and others in the small crew of celebrities to lend their voice to the Google Assistant service. Her voice is available in English in the U.S. on any device that has the Google Assistant app.

CNN reported on September 25, Samuel L. Jackson is the first celebrity to collaborate with Amazon's Alexa virtual assistant

Users can start requesting for Jackson later in the year for 99 cents.
