Atlanta rapper Gunna and Young Thug are being accused of biting the style of YouTuber Denzel Dion and social media influencer Rickey Thompson for a Billboard magazine cover, according to HotNewHipHop.
Dion and Thompson posed for the February cover of Pause magazine in luxurious Gucci coats and flared trousers, and sported platform boots. After the magazine cover was released, Gunna, who labels himself a Drip God, was adorned in the same Gucci coat that Thompson wore, and Young Thug rocked a shimmery blue and black coat, similar to Dion.
Dion took to Twitter to acknowledge the resemblance and shared side-by-side photos of Gunna and Thug’s picture alongside his picture with Thompson.
“ikyfl,” Dion wrote as an abbreviation for “I know you f**ing lying.”
Rickey Thompson responded with a tweet, “HAHAHAHAHAHAH like I said….INFLUENCE.”

Bobby Wesley was creative behind Young Thug and Gunna billboard shoot. Now why did he post this instagram story video and lie like this? He took the entire concept down to the position of where the men stand with the clothes on from Denzel Dion and Rickey Thompson pic.twitter.com/vaxyPbKexL

Bobby Wesley, the stylist for Gunna and Thug’s Billboard cover shoot, posted a video with a text superimposed on the footage saying, “Sometimes minds think alike, doesn’t always mean that someone copied another.” Wesley then seemingly proceeded to throw Gucci’s public relations team under the bus, writing, “The guys at Gucci PR should have known better…all good tho…live on,” The Neighborhood Talk reports.
