T.I.’s recent appearance on Red Table Talk has all of social media abuzz, particularly Willow Smith's rare absence from the discussion. However, during the conversation, Jada Pinkett Smith made it crystal clear where her 19-year-old daughter stands on the topic of toxic parenting, citing Willow’s audacity to check her famous father on inappropriate comments about women.

After being dragged on social media after admitting to taking his 18-year-old daughter, Deyjah Harris, to the gynecologist to ensure her hymen was intact, the rapper joined his wife, Tiny Harris, on the Facebook Live show.

While Pinkett Smith and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, were present to facilitate the conversation, Willow was not —something that T.I. quickly noticed.

“So sorry Willow couldn’t make it,” he said to Pinkett Smith and Banfield-Norris, breaking into a smile.

“Well you know what, Tip? I think you might be happy in the long-run,” Pinkett Smith responded.

Throughout the episode, T.I. attempted to explain how his comments were “misconceived,” and were made in a “joking manner.” However, Pinkett Smith countered his argument, insisting that the comments and actions still crossed a line in many ways that cannot be undone.

“I live with a man that loves his daughter, and the conversations that I’ve had to have with him in regards to what is protecting her, what is educating her, what is actually allowing her to self-actualize as her own individual self ― versus control,” she explained to T.I., speaking of her husband, Will Smith.

“And thank God he has me and he’s got Willow. We educate that joker before he leaves this house," Pinkett Smith said.

The 48-year-old also added that Willow has dealt squarely with her father about offensive comments made around menstruation.

“Willow has gone at her dad several times for very insensitive comments, whether it’s around menstruation or, you know, like ‘You must be PMS-ing,’ and she’s like, ‘Uh, that right there, we not gonna do that,’” she said.

During the conversation, T.I. did apologize to his daughter in an attempt to clean up his messy commentary, claiming that he told an exaggerated version of what happened.

Deyjah’s mother, Ranniqua, may have had her own thoughts about T.I.’s backtracking on Red Table Talk, taking to Instagram to write a shade-riddled message.

“…WHEW CHILE, THE NARCISSISM…” she wrote on her Instagram story.

There has not been a response from Deyjah regarding T.I.'s public apology on the talk show.
