For the first time since her recent suicide attempt, R&B singer Kehlani opened up to her fans about her own mental health and that of others. She took a moment on one of her recent tour stops to talk to the audience about the importance of being educated about mental health issues. "So many young people just slip under the rug to things like depression, severe anxiety and many disorders that people know nothing about." The singer plans on working with the Suicide Prevention Hotline in order to help educate her fans about mental health. She ended the speech beautifully with this affirmation: "You are worth it. You are perfect. You need to be here every single day that you are meant to be here." If you, or someone you know is battling with depression, or thoughts of suicide please call the Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
