Sources told Page Six the longtime Eyewitness News anchor was “immediately fired” after he allegedly called Allicot a “c**t” on a hot mic, usually a conversation or remark meant to be kept private.

The insiders confirmed Rosato was off-air when he emitted the word after initial reports stated he said the obscene term during an “open mic” moment and immediately let go from the broadcasting station.

Another source speculated Rosato used a racial slur toward Allicot, but his rep quickly refuted those claims.

“Being fired for any racial slur is 100 percent inaccurate and untrue. Ken Rosato had a benchmark of 20 years at WABC of supporting all equality,” the rep told the outlet.

According to the New York Post, the general manager emailed a Friday memo informing staffers Rosato was “no longer with WABC” and to “thank him for his years of service.”

Rosato co-anchored the morning program with Allicot, Heather O’Rourke and meteorologist Sam Champion. He started as a freelance reporter for the ABC affiliate in 2003 and became the morning and noon anchor.

Last week, the website removed his company bio, and his recent tweet from the anchor desk was dated May 2.
