Sometimes the best gifts are the most unexpected. Kennesaw State University students Kieron Graham, 20, and Vincent Ghant, 29 have had to find that out in the strangest way possible.

The two Georgia residents had a lot in common. They both were political science majors and according to Buzzfeed, the two had a class together. Unbeknownst to them at the time had the same birth mother.

Then, the puzzle pieces started to come together when Graham's adoptive parents gave him an ancestry DNA kit so that he could discover more about his past. And what he discovered was amazing. He already knew the names of his birth father and that he had a brother named Vincent but he never met them.

“One day after school, I came home checked my email. I had an email the results were in,” Graham told “Inside Edition.” “I went through the names of people I was related to. I saw Vincent. I said, ‘I think that’s my birth brother.’”

Graham was only three months old when he last saw his older brother Vincent. Shawn Ghant, the two brothers' mom, gave Graham up for adoption because at the time she could not adequately take care of him.

“When I realized it was him, I was shocked and then elated just to meet him again and talk to him,” Ghant told “Inside Edition.” “I was very amazed. I started thinking, ‘What if I passed him all these years and didn’t even know it?’ It was just fate that brought us together.”

After digging further, Graham found Ghant on Facebook and told him about the DNA results. “[I said] this is so random, I think I’m your birth brother,” Graham said. He also found out that he has a 17-year-old brother named Christian. Ghant is now married and has a daughter Graham never met.

It turns out that the pair lived near each other for most of their lives. Graham got the chance to meet his mom, his brothers and plans to celebrate Christmas will his family.
