Rapper Lil Uzi Vert will now be identified with they/them pronouns. The “20 Min” rapper, who previously went by “he/him,” added the new pronounsĀ in their Instagram bio on Sunday. According to Power 105.1, Lil Uzi made the change using Instagram’s pronoun labels feature, which allows people to add up to four pronoun in their bio. The social media platform recently added the feature as part of an effort to make Instagram more inclusive.

As Blavity previously reported, rapper Slim Thug recently sat down with artist Big Freedia during an episode of College Hill: Celebrity Edition to talk about using the proper pronouns when addressing people of various genders.
āI never been able to kick it with somebody like you, so I need to know the proper pronouns,ā the rapper said.
āIām gender fluid. I donāt have a pronoun,ā Big Freedia replied. āItās a new age for me too with the pronoun stuff. With my homies in New Orleans who I kick it with who I grew up with, Iām their bro. To my girls, Iām they sista. To my kids, straight and gay, Iām their mom. My sister, my blood sister, Iām her brother. And when she wanna call me her sister, Iām her sister. It really donāt matter to me because I know who I am.ā
