Looking for new music to listen to?

Well, “Big Baby” D.R.A.M., a rap crooner from Hampton, VA, recently released his project GahDamn! and it’s really good. Most people know D.R.A.M. from his hit single, “Cha-Cha,” which was on his last EP, #1EpicE. This new project is a great follow-up. GahDamn! is comprised of nine tracks that seamlessly mix jazzy R&B melodies with electronic vibes. Content wise, the tape is also very diverse. D.R.A.M. goes from passionately recounting a one-night stand (“Your uuuuuber’s outside,” he jokingly wails in “Fax”), to promising a woman he’ll always be there for her in “Caretaker.” The last song, “Okden,” takes a more serious tone, as D.R.A.M raps,

“I step in places all dreaded, like ‘He must be ghetto.’ These racist faces look at mine and get all un-fucking-settled.”

Overall, I enjoyed the tape, and it made me excited for D.R.A.M.’s future projects. Stream GahDamn! on Soundcloud, and if you like it, buy it on iTunes.
Also, check out D.R.A.M. live, as he opens for Chance the Rapper’s Family Matters tour. You can buy tickets and get more information about the tour here.
