Tory Lanez was handcuffed on Tuesday after a judge determined that he violated protective orders in the ongoing case with Megan Thee Stallion Additionally, according to Rolling Stone, Lanez’s bail was raised to $350,000 and he received a formal admonishment from Judge David Herriford.

Herriford concluded that any further mention of the “WAP” rapper would result in additional fines and jail time. Herriford also prohibited Lanez from sharing information about the discovery process.

Shawn Holley, the attorney for Lanez, countered that her client didn’t share any parts of the discovery process with blogger DJ Akademiks, who falsely said that “Tory Lanez DNA was not found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case” on Twitter.

Lanez’s arrest is the latest in the case involving Megan.

Here is a brief timeline of the shooting and subsequent trial.

Uproxx reports that Tory Lanez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in his car in Southern California, and that Megan Thee Stallion was revealed to be a passenger in the car with him. At the time, the outlet reported that Megan had “suffered an injury to her foot,” but claimed that the injury came from shards of broken glass. But in the video below, Meg’s bloody footprints can be seen everywhere she walks.

A little more than a month after the incident, TMZ reports — for the first time — that the injury to Megan Thee Stallion’s foot did not come from shards of broken class, but from Tory Lanez shooting her with his concealed weapon. That same day, shortly before TMZ broke the news, Meg tweeted what many considered a veiled threat to Tory: “Lie one more time and Ima quit sparing you.”

Complex reports that an LAPD detective testifies that Tory Lanez was yelling “dance, b*tch, dance!” as he shot Megan Thee Stallion repeatedly. The detective also testified that he had a recording of a phone call between Lanez and Megan’s ex-friend — Kelsey Nicole — in which Lanez confesses to shooting Meg, and apologizes for doing so. Lanez also reportedly offered Megan money to “remain quiet” about the shooting.

In what is the wildest update in the case so far, Rolling Stone reports that Tory Lanez sympathizers begin spreading unverified rumors about the DNA on the gun. Specifically, they claim that Lanez’s DNA was not found on the gun — a claim later refuted by both Shawn Holley (Lanez’s lawyer) and Megan Thee Stallion herself.

The only thing that does happen at this hearing, per Rolling Stone, is that the matter is adjourned until April 5, 2022.
