If you’re a voracious reader (word to Joan Carol Clayton), you already know how indescribable the feeling of finishing a good read is. When that film is turned into an actual movie, that’s an entirely different ballpark. Films like The Color Purple and Waiting to Exhale are some of the most iconic films in cinema history and were both based on equally iconic novels.
