Kevin Hart and Terence Howard just might be joining the cast of playwright/director David E. Talbert's rom-com, Baggage Claim, for Fox Searchlight, based on his best-selling debut novel about a flight attendant with thirty days and thirty thousand miles to find a husband.

The film already boasts Paula PattonDerek Luke, and Octavia Spencer as cast members.

I've been informed that offers are out to both Hart and Howard to join the already-attached trio, although I wasn't told what roles exactly they are being asked to play in the film.

In fact, aside from knowing that Patton will play our husband-seeking flight attendant, the roles assigned to other cast members (specifically, Luke and Spencer) aren't public yet.

Although we're guessing that Luke will likely play the male lead.

It would help if one of us has read the novel, then maybe we'd be able to fill in the blanks; alas, we haven't… yet.

Here's Amazon's description of the novel:

Pledging to keep herself from being the oldest and the only woman in her entire family never to wed, Montana embarks on a thirty-day, thirty-thousand-mile expedition to charm a potential suitor into becoming her fiancé. Whom will she choose? Damon Diesel, a P. Diddy wannabe; Reverend Curtis P. Merewether, pastor of Greater House of Deliverance, Tabernacle of Praise, Worship, and Miracles; pompous attorney-turned-councilman Langston Jefferson Battle III; or Quinton Jamison, a multimillionaire who's twenty years her senior?

I suppose all three actors (Luke, as well as Hart and Howard, if cast) could play any one of those 4 potential suitors for Montana.

Call it the Think Like A Man effect; a project once thought to be dead 2 years ago, is given new life just a few months ago, after that film stormed the box office, and with Kevin Hart as one of its leads I should add.

If deals are worked out with both Hart and Terence Howard, we'll certainly no with certainty sooner than later, as the project is scheduled to begin principal photography in October.
