After the significant hype of her single “Boy’s a Liar, Pt.2,” English singer Pink Pantheress returns with another banger, “Mosquito.” Alongside the track is a nostalgic accompanying video with some of her celebrity friends.

The video features Bridgerton actress Charithra Chandran, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story star India Amarteifio and Yara Shahidi from black-ish and its spin-off, grown-ish

PinkPantheress expressed excitement about releasing her latest track in a statement: “After a long wait my favourite song is coming out to the public, I’m so excited for you guys to hear something different from me in form of this song,” she said.

Known for her penchant for creating short songs and gaining inspiration from the 1990s and the 2000s, “Mosquito” is certainly par for the course.

From a sonic point of view, the track is an avid combination of bubble gum pop and two-step garage, with the video evoking an early-2000s, Mean Girls and girl power aesthetic as it follows the four women through a blissful day of shopping.

Pantheress talked about the video on her Instagram account.

“omg i’m so scared but Mosquito is finally out! with a whole music video on youtube now! 🥰, she wrote in the caption. ”I was trying to give breakfast at tiffany’s lol but a big thank you is in order to Greg Kurstin who was the catalyst for this track and Sophie Muller who directed this amazing video with my darling angel girlfriendsxxxx”
