Jury duty can be inconvenient and flat out annoying. While most of us are looking for the quickest way out of doing the civil duty, one man is able and willing.

It looks like Barack Obama has been summoned for jury duty in Cook County, Illinois and is expected to appear next month. Mr. Obama owns a home in both Washington, D.C., and Chicago, and could be called for civil or criminal cases.

While details have not been released, it is apparent that he will be there ready to serve. This will make him number three on the list of presidents who appeared for jury selection after leaving the White House. The list currently includes Bill Clinton and George W Bush.

"He made it crystal-clear to me through his representative that he would carry out his public duty as a citizen and resident of this community," Cook County Chief Judge Timothy Evans said.

Oprah Winfrey was also summoned for jury duty in Cook County back in 2004. She sat on a jury for a murder trial.

Can you imagine having Barack Obama on your jury panel? We're showing up early every day.
