Pittsburgh rapper Jimmy Wopo was killed in a drive-by shooting on Monday evening, June 18.
WTAE reports police found Wopo and another victim suffering from gun wounds inside of a car around 4 p.m.
Wopo was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later died. The other man is in stable condition. A medical examiner said Wopo, real name Travon Smart, was shot at 4:22 p.m. and died at 5:56 p.m. No arrests have been made, and the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.
The 21-year-old rapper’s manager confirmed his death in a Facebook post.
Wopo is best known for his song “Elm Street." The song's video has over 6 million views.
Wopo spoke about the violence in his neighborhood and his legacy during an interview in 2017.

Wopo died within hours of rapper XXXtentacion, who was gunned down in Florida on Monday.
