Battleship's role has opened more doors for RiRi!

It looks like Rihanna may be in negotiations to start in the 6th installation of the Fast and Furious franchise.

An unnamed source told The Daily Mail, "Writers think she'll be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn't take any prisoners – just like her in real life," adding, "it's a step up the ladder for her and could lead to bigger action roles."

We last told you in December of last year, that Vin Diesel confirmed a 7th, since the 6th installation will be split into two films in order to tie loose ends. Diesel told THR, "“With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space.”

Eva Mendes, last seen in 2 Fast 2 Furious, as well as Michelle Rodriguez, may make an apperance going by the teaser at then end of the 5th film. Diesel said, “We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages.”

So we'll see; there's also talk of Gia Carano joining the flick. The film is slated for a May 2013 theater release.
