Shaquille O’Neal, the NBA legend who’s known for pulling off random acts of kindness, continued to show off his generosity at an upscale Chinese restaurant in New York City. O’Neal was out on a date on Sunday when he decided to buy dinner for everyone at the restaurant, Page Six reports.

“He paid for everyone’s check [who was] dining at the restaurant,” a source told Page Six, adding that the bill amounted to more than $25,000 for about 40 tables.

According to the source, O’Neal arrived at Jue Lan Club with an unidentified woman. The retired athlete and his date first enjoyed their own meal, ordering Beijing chicken, shrimp tempura and the restaurant’s signature chicken satay, the source said.

Before leaving the restaurant, O’Neal covered the bill for everybody who was eating in the restaurant at the time. He also bought dinner for the entire staff and left a massive tip.

“He left them the biggest tip they’ve ever received,” the source said.

Hoping to keep his generous act on the down-low, O’Neal asked the staff to stay silent until he left the restaurant.

As Blavity previously reported, O’Neal recently covered the funeral cost for 3-year-old Devin Page Jr., who was hit and killed by a stray bullet while sleeping in his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend has pulled off many other similar acts. In 2017, he offered to cover the funeral costs for Malachi Hemphill, a 13-year-old Georgia native who was streaming on Instagram Live when he accidentally killed himself with a gun. O’Neal also paid for the funeral of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis, a North Carolina girl who was kidnapped and killed in 2009.
