With Father’s Day coming up this weekend, haircare brand SheaMositure has launched a campaign titled #MyDadSmiles celebrating black fathers and their special bond with their children. Making sure that dad won’t get stuck with a last-minute card or tie (seriously, how often does he wear a suit?), SheaMoisture is offering a 20 percent off site-wide discount through Father’s Day.

The #MyDadSmiles campaign is a video series featuring nine different fathers and their outlook on what being a father means to them. Offering words of wisdom, love, and kindness, the campaign shines a rare light on fatherhood from the perspective of Black men.

Known for his popular Instagram account dedicated to his family, and YouTube series The Ellises Devale Ellis is one of the nine fathers featured in the campaign. Revealing what makes him smile, Ellis shares “A smile from a dad is the universal sign that everything is ok. So I make sure to smile as often as possible because as long as my boys are smiling everything is perfect.”

YouTuber Teach Hill, otherwise known as Breeze_N_Dad, discusses how the passing of his own father has had an impact on his life and how he fathers. "I will always remember the fun times and the many memories I shared with my father when I was a child," Hill writes on his YouTube channel. "After he passed away, it made me always want to be the best father I could be. So now, I strive to create fun and happy moments with my daughter, so that she can have memories of her own as she grows into a beautiful young lady."
