Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama are some of the most admired people on Earth according to a new survey by YouGov

The Obamas are also the most admired people in the United States, beating current President Donald Trump. According to YouGov, Trump comes in at the 17th spot on the list of most admired men globally, behind Russian President Vladimir Putin who comes in at number six. Respondents from 35 countries were asked two questions in an online poll where they could choose multiple people and where they could only select one.
To many people's surprise, tech entrepreneur and philanthropist Bill Gates took the number one spot for men globally although Obama ranks first in 19 countries. For the women, actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie reached the No. 1 spot. Michelle Obama took second, and media mogul Oprah Winfrey came in third.

With Trump's Muslim travel ban and the recent resurgence of white nationalism that accompanied Trump's rise to the White House, he was less popular than NBA legend Michael Jordan, the Dalai Lama and Pope Francis.

Moreover, Trump was second among most admired Americans with former President Obama beating him by a large margin. He received an admiration score of 10.7 percent compared to Obama’s 24 percent.

The only people rocking with Trump is the "Make America Great Again" crowd, according to this survey.
