It may be a wrap for music, said Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley, shortly after his latest album, Chapters Of The Trenches. In a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, the rapper turned full-time gamer spoke about his success in online gaming and even mentioned not caring about coming outside.
If you’re a fan of his music, you will enjoy this project and the visuals to go with it because Grizzley has no plans on leaving the house for rap.
While businesses struggled, and the entertainment industry was shut down during the height of the pandemic, the gaming industry was booming.
Grizzley told Bootleg Kev that he created a business out of gaming, bringing in six figures a month solely from his expanding Grand Theft Auto role-playing empire.
He also said gaming is fun, and he’d rather stay inside the house, where he’s safe and make his money from home on his terms. The rapper-turned-gamer hasn’t made a club appearance in a long time and doesn’t care to, even if a missed money opportunity aggravates his manager.
When asked if he considers himself a full-time gamer and part-time rapper, Grizzley’s response didn’t even include music in his title. He also said he’s no longer a rapper and makes movies now.
“Umm, I feel like I’m a professional gamer, part-time movie director,” he declared.
To Grizzley, rap all sounds too similar now, which is one of his reasons for the shift in careers.
At the moment, GTA6 is in the development stages, but that wouldn’t hinder anything Grizzley is doing. He can continue to grow his role-playing empire and carry out what he’s been doing for several years.

Grizzley also discussed the loss of his close friend, PnB Rock, who he was with just the night before he was gunned down in Los Angeles. He mentioned his appreciation for Rock and shared that there aren’t many people like him in the industry.
