The dad dancing with his baby girl in the viral “Daderina” clip has shared the story behind the adorable video.

If you haven't seen it, here it is:

Marc Daniels, a lawyer who resides in Bermuda, was tending to his infant daughter, Suri, while his wife, Kim, helped their older daughters, Giada and Bella, prepare for their May 29 dance recital.

According to Kim, two-and-a-half-year-old Bella got a bit cranky while she waited for her turn to hit the stage.

“I was able to tend to the older girls backstage, but it was a long wait. That’s why the tantrum started,” Kim told The Washington Post. “Bella started marching on stage, so I thought she wanted to go for it. But she demanded Daddy. I thought, ‘Wait! Mommy has been here for an hour!’”

Marc tried to help Bella from the sidelines, but she wasn’t having it, so he decided to take the stage while clutching baby Suri.

“I went with the goal of trying to soothe and encourage her,” he said. “I did not want to pull her offstage away from her sister and single her out from the other girls and boy.” Another parent caught the recital on video and posted it on social media. The video has over 4 million views.

Daddy’s help was the jolt Bella needed because she was able to perform twice two weeks later without Marc’s assistance.

“We had front-row seats so she could see us making eye contact. She looked confident and brave,” Kim shared.

Marc’s actions seem notable to all of us, but Kim said this is just another example of her husband’s dedication.

“My husband is very loving; he has a beautiful bond with his daughters,” she said. “Watching him dance was so attractive, but it didn’t surprise me. It is the man I married.”

Marc acknowledged the significance of the video but doesn’t think he did anything exceptional.

“Mothers are phenomenal and do so much every day that goes unnoticed, even by their own partners,” Marc said. “So I do not feel worthy of all of this publicity for something that is just normal to us. However, I recognize how this video can be of inspiration to others, too, and I am certain that in the years to come, my own children will treasure this moment as a token of my love and respect for them.”
