At 100 years old, Lucille Watson has much advice to give. The centenarian offered words of wisdom regarding settling down and tying the knot – maybe don't.
In an interview with the New York Post, Watson, who recently joined the centenarian club, said her years of travel with "lots of boyfriends" was much better than finding a husband.
"I got to travel and have lots of boyfriends,” she said. “That’s much better than a husband. Why break up the fun?”
Watson wasn't the only person with that opinion. Her fellow resident at the Brooklyn McKinney Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and centenarian, Caroline Binns, shared the sentiment.
"I’d rather be left in peace, not in pieces,” she told The Post.
Carolyn Burton, who turned 100 last year, said she has never had time to deal with men and their "stress." She told The Post that she turned down five marriage proposals.

"They were all very nice men, but I didn’t want the stress,” she said.
Staying single isn't the only thing these women said have helped them throughout the years. Watson also told The Post that dancing by moving her hips and getting "into a groove" has helped her remain active and have fun.
Last month, the nursing and rehabilitation center held a birthday celebration for Burton, Watson, Binns and three other women to celebrate their 100-plus years of age.
Leave it to our elders to keep it real!
