When Dorcas Atsea and Deborah Atoh planned their weddings, they never expected their final exams would fall on the same day. But the two Nigerian brides proved that sometimes you don't have to choose.

As CNN reported, the brides set their wedding dates and sent invitations to family and friends well ahead of their big day on April 7. Meanwhile, their media ethics and law exams at the Benue State University in Nigeria, originally scheduled for February, were postponed.
Both Atsea and Atoh learned the new exam date clashed with their weddings.
"My wedding was already fixed and planned before the exam," Atsea told CNN. "I attempted to shift the exam, but to no avail."
Atoh told CNN that university officials told her to choose between "the exam or the wedding."

"My wedding was already fixed and I already told people it was April 7 and sent out invitations, we decided not to change the date," she said.
Atsea and Atoh decided not to choose – they did it all instead. According to CNN, the brides took their marital vows at a church earlier in the day then went to the university to take the exam. After leaving the university, they attended their wedding receptions – wedding gowns and all.
While the back and forth may sound draining, Atsea told CNN that her classmates provided her with a celebratory atmosphere.
"When I walked into the hall, for ten minutes everybody was just shouting before we started the exam and after the exam, I went back to the reception venue because my guests were waiting for me, " she said.
