nullRoger Corman is considered "the king" of low budget films having created such cult classics as The Little Shop Of Horrors, Last Woman On Earth and Creature From The Haunted Sea among others.  He also launched a large number of well-known directors such as Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard and Jonathan Demme.  So how did first-time director Alex Stapleton get the "godfather" of indie cinema to co-sign on her documentary about him?  Simple…she just asked!

In my interview with Alex, which will be posted soon, she reveals why she chose to spotlight the icon as her first directorial production, how she financed it, the influence of Pam Grier and how she almost lost the project to competition.

Until then…check out the trailer for Corman's World: Exploits Of A Hollywood Rebel which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and hits theaters on December 16.
