Frank Ocean fans have expressed an outpour of excitement on Twitter at the thought of taking a course all about the Blonde artist.

Twitter user @PreyaaGill, a student at the University of California, Berkeley, wrote on Twitter she had recently been approved to teach a course on Ocean this fall.

"I proposed a course on Frank Ocean [at]  UC Berkeley and it got approved!" she wrote.  "Very stoked to be teaching it in the fall. Come sign up."

The course is reportedly a part of the university's DeCal program, student-run courses where students create and facilitate classes on subjects often not taught in the school's traditional curriculum.

In an interview with The Fader, Preya Gill said the course would cover Ocean's "artistic history" and the way he has challenged concepts such as "toxic-masculinity," among other themes.

"We want to encourage a deep literary exploration of his artistry both in lyrics and through his visuals and live performances," Gill said in an e-mail to The Fader. "We hope to provide a safe environment where students can discuss his poetry and music with sensitivity, creative respect, and open-mindedness."

Analyzing Ocean's catalog for a college course is an exciting thought for many people. Gill's tweet has garnered more than 30K likes since she posted it on June 15. Many have already committed to signing up. The course appears to be titled "Brain Like Berkeley" which is not only fitting given the home for the new class, it's also a lyric from Ocean's hit song "Novacane."

According to The Fader, students will be able to sign up for the Frank Ocean course in August. Gill tweeted she plans to release announcements on the class on Facebook in July.
