nullNow that those Twilight sparking vampire movies are finished, studios are scrambling to find the next film series to attract impressionable 16 year old girls.

Back in Spetember Tambay posted the first trailer for what Warners Bros and Alcon Entertainment (the production company that gave you The Blind Side, The Book of Eli and Lottery Ticket) hope will be their own Twilight series called Beautiful Ceatures, coming out in February, which is the first of three novels written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

The film is a "supernatural love story set in the South, telling the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan, a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena, a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town."

The film stars Alice Englert, Alden Ehrenreich (as the star crossed lovers) along with Jeremy Irons, Emma Thomspon and Emily Rossum.

Co-starring with them is Viola Davis who plays Amarie "Amma" Treadeau, "a seer who is like a grandmother to Ethan. She can communicate with her dead family who she calls The Greats."

But now a new and longer trailer, which will be attached to The Hobbit, makes its debut; though, judging from the look of it, it's more like a Saturday Night Live parody of those Twilight movies (As if those films weren't funny enough).

Oh, but before we get to it, a trivia note: Broderick Johnson, who is the co-founder and president of Alcon Entertainment, is a brother (Just thought you would like to know).
