Black employees often have to deal with an endless amount of overt racism and bigotry from white patrons who rarely suffer any consequences for their actions.

But in a video circulating on Twitter, a white woman who repeatedly used the N-word got her comeuppance thanks to a Black woman who refused to let it slide.

The situation started on an American Airlines flight where an inebriated-sounding white woman called a Black flight attendant the N-word.

A Black woman sitting next to the lady heard her use the N-word and reacted angrily, questioning why she would ever say the offensive word with multiple Black people around her.

"I thought you was cool. You're gonna sit here and call him a 'f**king n****r' while you're sitting beside an African American woman? You are f**king stupid. You need to be locked the f**k up. I hope they lock your motherf**king ass up," the Black woman said.

The white woman then called the Black passenger a "n****r," and the two started to fight, with the Black flight attendant breaking it up. Unfortunately, the Black woman was removed from the flight, and the video ends before any resolution is found.

The clip garnered a huge reaction online, with many agreeing with the Black woman's actions and thanking the Black flight attendant for allowing her to get a few good punches in before breaking it up.

There have been many other instances where Black people have had to deal with unfair treatment and racism at airports or on airplanes.

Last month a Cameroonian man traveling to Dubai for business was wrapped in plastic while being forcibly deported from Turkey, as Blavity previously reported

Even Black celebrities face racism on flights. In November, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am said he was racially profiled by a flight attendant with an Australian airline.

American Airlines specifically has a long history of mistreating Black passengers, and the NAACP even released an advisory for Black people about the airline in 2017.

“The NAACP for several months now has been monitoring a pattern of disturbing incidents reported by African-American passengers, specific to American Airlines. In light of these confrontations, we have today taken the action of issuing national advisory alerting travelers—especially African Americans—to exercise caution, in that booking and boarding flights on American Airlines could subject them disrespectful, discriminatory or unsafe conditions," the group said in a statement.

Derrick Johnson, president and CEO of the NAACP, added that Black travelers should be "guaranteed the right to travel without fear of threat, violence or harm.”

“The growing list of incidents suggesting racial bias reflects an unacceptable corporate culture and involves behavior that cannot be dismissed as normal or random. We expect an audience with the leadership of American Airlines to air these grievances and to spur corrective action. Until these and other concerns are addressed, this national travel advisory will stand,” Johnson said in 2017.
