Typically, when a person tries to attempt robbery of a public place like a convenience store or gas station, they make an attempt to protect their identity. Well, Cameron Kennedy decided to go one step further and conveniently change his whole racial identity.

The 26-year-old was arrested two weeks after robbing the New York-New York hotel and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Originally, the robber was described as a black man, but the culprit was later revealed to be Kennedy in black face paint/makeup, FOX Vegas reports.

Wearing glasses, his skin job, and a cap, Kennedy entered the casino, then flashed a black semiautomatic handgun under his jacket, reportedly saying, "I want all your hundreds and don’t mess around. I am not kidding, I want all the hundreds.”

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) posted the casino's camera footage of the robbery on YouTube.

Kennedy had been under federal supervision for a previous bank robbery and had been ordered to wear a GPS device. However, just before the robbery, he cut the device off, according to both U.S. Attorney Dayle Elieson and a criminal complaint.

Kennedy, who left the casino with over $23,000, was placed in federal custody on Monday. According to Las Vegas Now, he's being charged with interference with commerce by robbery.
