Ja Rule sat down with DJ Envy and Angela Yee of The Breakfast Club to discuss Growing Up Hip-Hop, returning to music, and the public failure of Fyre Festival.

When asked about the controversy surrounding the music festival of 2017 that was anything but the “luxury event” that was promised, Ja Rule’s response was loud and wrong.

“The Fyre Festival was an amazing idea. Let’s not act like every f*cking body wasn’t coming the the Fyre Festival.”

When pressed further about the failed execution of the event and the multiple documentaries that have been released detailing it, Rule admitted that the execution was “extremely bad.”

The 90s rapper claims that he did not watch the documentary, “I lived through it, I don’t need to watch it again G** Dammit.”

He also mentioned how he has re-branded the idea and is creating a new app inspired by the original idea called “Icon” He is also planning another festival “with the right guys.”

“Sure I’d like to do another festival and do it right, because that’s what I intended to do in the first f*cking place.”

Rule is seen laughing in his chair throughout the discussion with no mention of the primarily Bahamian Festival staff who were exploited for unpaid labor or the multi-million dollar fraud behind the event.
