As a dynamic, ambitious, and intelligent woman browsing through the innanets on a daily basis, I thought I’d share with you a few websites that are especially created for Black millennial women.  These offer useful life advice and tips, cultural commentaries and entertainment.

Without further ado, here are my top 11 sites for millennial black women.

1. For Harriet

For Harriet is an online community for black women that encourages, through journalism and storytelling, the beauty and complexity of women with African ancestry. Their motto: We aspire to educate, inspire and entertain.

2. Tea & Breakfast

Tea & Breakfast is a website dedicated to bringing the latest in the news and entertainment industry. As they say, we are “your morning sip”.

3. Madame Noire

Madame Noir is an online lifestyle publication for black women, bringing the latest in the field of black news and entertainment, as well as giving out lifestyle advice to its audience.

4. Colored Girl Confidential

Colored Girl Confidential is a free subscription website that advocates and helps colored women achieve their goals in life and career.

5. Essence Magazine

Essence Magazine is a premiere fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine catering to African-American women. Their motto: Where Black Women Come First.

6. My Creative Connection

My Creative Connection is a subscription platform helping to connect “young, Black, Creatives and Creative professionals” through experience sharing, empowerment and resources.

7. Hello Beautiful

This is an online premier destination site for today’s colored women covering the news, entertainment, social and lifestyle industries. Their motto: We Make It Look Good.

8. Afrobella

Founded by Trinidad-born writer Patrice Grell Yursik, Afrobella is all about the celebration of the inner and outer beauty of women of all color.

9. Urbanbushbabes

Founders Cipriana Quann & Nikisha Brunson, have gracefully created a unique brand and destination site focusing on natural hair, living a funky, healthy and creative lifestyle.  The aesthetic of their site is immaculate.

10. Ebony

Dubbed as the No. 1 source for authoritative perspective on the Black-American community, Ebony is an online destination for black news, cultural insights, entertainment and lifestyle content. As it prides itself in saying, Ebony is “more than a magazine. It’s a movement.”

11. Clutch Magazine

Started in 2007 Clutch magazine was a go to for me all through college and now in my post grad life. They have an awesome diversity of content frequently mixing commentary pieces with curated news.
