Earlier this year, 11-year-old rapper Lay Lay became an instant sensation by freestyling over popular hits.

Now, the rapper, whose real name is Alaya High, is making waves in the music industry with show-stopping performances. Lay Lay recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday to promote her debut album and offer a dope performance.

The Houston native currently resides in Atlanta with her family. Earlier this year, she became one of the youngest female rapper to sign a major record deal with Empire Records.

Her history-making deal was a long time coming. While speaking with Ellen, she revealed she began rapping at the tender age of five and that her father dabbled in rap as well.

“I watched him a lot in the studio and it inspired me to rap also,” said the rapper. “We rap about all types of stuff. Food, pots and pans, butterflies ― it don’t even matter. We just rap.”

Lay Lay took to Instagram this week to inform her adoring fans that her debut album Cheat Code is available everywhere.

"My album 'CHEAT CODE' is now available on all digital platforms!! ???????????????? @empire @freshrebelmuzik I want to send a special s/o to @theellenshow for having me as a guest, TUNE IN 3pm," she wrote. "…I am soooo happy. Thanks to everyone who made this day possible!!"
