Days after Emantic Bradford Jr. was killed by a police officer upon being mistakenly identified as a suspect in the Riverchase Galleria Mall shooting, another suspect has been taken into custody.

According to FOX Atlanta, 20-year-old Erron Brown was arrested exactly one week after the fatal incident which took place on Thanksgiving night. Brown turned himself in peacefully to U.S. Marshals on Thursday morning in South Fulton, Georgia. He was then taken to Fulton County jail where he was charged with attempted murder. Following his extradition, he'll be booked into Jefferson County Jail. The 20-year-old is expected to face additional charges.

"Today Erron Brown was arrested for Attempted Murder for the shooting of Brian Wilson that took place at the Galleria Mall on Thanksgiving night," Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr released in a statement via CBS 42. "While charges are being brought against Mr. Brown, ALEA's investigation is not complete and remains ongoing and we will continue to review all evidence submitted to our office related to this case."

"We are confident ALEA is working to complete the investigation in a timely manner. However, in light of the fact that so many people were present in the mall that evening, witness interviews are still ongoing," the statement continued. "We encourage anyone with information regarding the events that took place in the Galleria to come forward and speak with investigators about anything they saw or heard."

On the night of November 22, several men reportedly got into an altercation outside of J.C. Penny and Foot Action. The melee resulted in a gunman firing several rounds, which wounded two people (a 12-year-old girl and 18-year-old man). After Hoover Police reported Bradford "brandished" a gun, they later clarified their statements, noting the gunman was still at large.

This situation has been a frustrating back-and-forth for Bradford's family, who's been demanding answers from the Hoover Police Department and claimed police officers hadn't spoken directly to them. The department released a public statement on the matter. The unidentified cop who killed Brandford has been placed on administrative leave during internal investigation.

Video from the altercation has been released to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, who is conducting an investigation, per New York Daily News.
