More than 200 migrants drown off Libyan coast

The United Nations' migration agency stated that more than 240 migrants believed to be from West Africa drowned off of the Libyan coast last week. By the time rescuers arrived, most migrants had drowned, and only about 27 people survived. According to Democracy Now!, at least 4,220 refugees have died in 2016, exceeding the total number of deaths in 2015
