In wake of the tragic shooting death of Young Dolph, the 36-year-old leaves behind family, friends, fans, his partner and their two children.

Not much is known about Mia Jaye, the rapper's life partner and the mother of their two children, Tre Tre and Aria Ella Thorton. However, here’s what we’ve learned about the entrepreneur and activist:

She met Dolph while working for a boutique commercial real estate firm

In 2012, Jaye received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Miami specializing in Real Estate Finance, Get India News reveals.

It was through her career journey that she met, and began dating Dolph, while working for a boutique commercial real estate firm.

The 36-year-old is an entrepreneur and podcast host

Upon leaving the firm in pursuit of other goals, Jaye founded Fresh Start Kidz, Inc. in 2015. Later on, she would add author to her growing resume after self-publishing a book entitled, “No Way Tré You Can’t Have Your Way, Fruit Instead of Junk Food Today.” She also capitalized on the podcast wave as host of Mia Jaye's Toolbox.

Her and Dolph have two kids together

Although Jaye and Dolph reportedly never married, the two had their son, Tre, in 2014. Aria Ella would come three years later in 2017. The two presented a rather low-key lifestyle on Instagram, but showcased an abundance of love through pictorials with their children.

Jaye created a social justice organization against gun violence

As the CEO of Momeo, pronounced Mom-E-O, Jaye helped create a social justice cause campaigning against the premature loss of Black men to gun violence.

After losing her brother to gun violence at the hands of another Black man, Jaye started her initiative for "Black Men Deserve To Grow Old" on Aug. 22 in honor of her brother's birthday.

“So when I advocate for all the Black Men who are 20 times more likely than their other male counterparts, to die prematurely due to violent crime that happens within OUR community…."  she wrote in an Instagram post featuring Dolph and their daughter.
