If you were the only black kid in class growing up, you probably remember the uncomfortable feeling of being called upon as the spokesperson for all black people. Perhaps you weren't the only black kid in class, but your teacher was clueless and insensitive about black culture. Either way, we've all had a moment where we've been the only black person in an awkward situation.
