Cousins are the best! Whether they’re your cousin by blood or the cousin that’s not really your cousin, but they come to the cook out anyway, they always got your back one way or another. On the flipside, they can also get you into a lot of trouble, but either way #issacousin, and you can’t help but love them!
Here’s a list of 7 movies with the best cousin moments that you can watch on National Cousin’s Day, Monday, July 24th to celebrate with your family.
1. Inkwell
When the quirky, naive Drew comes to the Inkwell, his cousin Junior and his boys try to show him the ropes on getting the girls. But it’s Junior who ends up running after Drew to get the facts on his special night when he becomes a man.

2. Next Friday
Craig moves in with his cousin, Day Day, and his dad to keep out of trouble. But when Craig learns that Day Day and his dad are about to evicted from their house, Craig has to learn the hard way that trouble is everywhere. Don't worry though, Craig makes sure to help a cuz out.

3. Poetic Justice
Tupac may not have been a relative by blood, but in arguably, one of the most iconic moments in cinema history, he pulls up to the black cookout and convinces everybody that he’s a relative. #IssaCousin

4. Roll Bounce
Now they weren’t cousins, but they were so attached by the skate laces that they might as well had been. They fight. They laugh. They bond. But most importantly they skate. The boys work together as a team–but it feels more like a family than anything else–as they try to win the roller disco.

5. Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins
Although there are definitely some funnier scenes like the one where we are introduced to Cousin Reggie who finesses $300 from Roscoe for some ice, the best scene of the movie is when Roscoe realizes Cousin Clyde (who he has been competing with) is family and that alone is most important.

6. Barbershop
Ricky definitely did frame JD for a crime he did not commit. Family isn’t supposed to throw you under the bus like that. But in the end, Ricky gave up his criminal ways and JD forgave him. That is what family really does–they forgive each other for their ridiculousness.

7. Friday
A lot of the shenanigans that Craig and Smokey get into throughout the course of the movie starts because Smokey tells Craig “it’s Friday, you ain’t got no job and you ain’t got [nothing] to do.” This movie shows you a cousin (by blood or not) can really drag you into their craziness.

Now is the time to snuggle up with your best cuz, share some popcorn and indulge in some comedic movies that remind you that cousins are both crazy and amazing. They can get you into some major trouble, but they can also help you out when you are in deep. No matter what, life stays interesting with a cousin in it.
