
I doubt he needs much of an introduction around here; his name has come up quite a bit, especially in the last 12 months, that he's now practically nearing super-star status; and rightfully so! Watch Restless City for a glimpse at the kind of magic he creates with light.

Reelblack, in association with The African-American Film Festival Releasing Movement and PhillyCAM, will host a special introduction to the work of Sundance Award-winning cinematographer BRADFORD YOUNG Wednesday Aprill 11 from 6:30-8pm. Selections from his body of work will be screened, followed by a Q&A moderated by Philly artist and filmmaker MAORI KARMAEL HOLMES (SCENE NOT HEARD).

Bradford Young graduated from Howard University, where he studied under the tutelage of filmmaker Haile Gerima.
In addition to RESTLESS CITY, Young’s cinematography credits include Middle of Nowhere, Mississippi Damned, Entre Nos and Pariah, for which he earned the 2011 Sundance Film Festival’s Excellence in Cinematography Award for U.S. Dramatic Competition. .
He was cited as one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film” in 2009.
By the way, Restless City opens in NY, LA, and ATL on April 27, and then expands to Philly, Seattle, Detroit, Chicago and Washington DC on May 4.
