As part of the World Nomads festival (which, this year – its 5th – seeks to explore Tunisian arts and culture, two years after the Arab Spring), FIAF (French Institute Alliance Française), here in New York City, presents a month of Tunisian cinema, curated by Dora Bouchoucha, one of Tunisia’s most successful film producers.
The films featured in the series explore the place of women in Tunisian society before and after the fall of President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali in January 2011, and includes award-winning features, shorts, and insightful documentaries, collectively providing a window into the country, post-revolution.
