Toni BraxtonActor and director Vondie Curtis Hall is attached to direct “Unbreak My Heart: The Toni Braxton Story” for the Lifetime network.

Of course, this will tell the life story of singer, songwriter, and TV personality Toni Braxton. No word on where exactly the project stands, ETA, or casting at this time.

The film will feature Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, LA Reid, Pebbles, and the Braxton sisters. So a lot of famous faces to be cast here.

Curtis Hall and Braxton both have past relationships with Lifetime: he directed "Abducted: The Carlina White Story" a couple of years ago for the network, and she starred in a 2013 Lifetime movie titled "Twist of Faith." And Lifetime has been on a roll in the last couple of years it seems, in terms of original movies starring black actors, or biopics on the lives of black public personalities; the all-black cast "Steel Magnolias," the Whitney Houston biopic, the Aaliyah biopic, the wedding romcom "With This Ring," the movie based on the Broadway play "The Trip To Bountiful," the En Vogue movie and several others, all produced and broadcast in the last year or two.

Vondie Curtis Hall was most recently seen in Netflix’s Daredevil series; and Braxton has been on the talk show circuit in recent years, appearing and at times even guest-hosting: "The Chew," "The View," and others.
