Luke Cage dropped on Netflix three days ago and the reception is nothing short of positive. One aspect of the show critics are touching on is the score behind the Harlem superhero. Linear Labs artists Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad filled the score with a 30-piece orchestra, conducted by Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, to really bring the show to life.

With Luke Cage out now, we’re starting to see some of the music released to the masses, too. “Bulletproof Love” has Adrian and Ali on the beat with stellar vocals by Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man. This track bangs because it genuinely sounds like a new spin on the Wu-Tang sound that a lot of us grew up with (which we’ve also heard if you’re hip to the collaborations Ghostface Killah and Adrian did together). Deep bass lines and funky drums should bring you out of the Monday blues as Method Man paints a picture of New York.

Have you seen ‘Luke Cage?’ What do you think of the Method Man collaboration?
