Netflix announced its newest film on the streaming service platform, and some viewers are a bit confused about the uncanny resemblance between producer Alicia Keys' life to the main character.
The film Resort To Love stars Christina Milian who plays the role of a singer that gets accidentally booked to perform at her ex-boyfriend's wedding and discovers that she's still in love with him.

The movie, which debuts on July 29, has some fans pointing to the irony of the film's theme and Keys' personal life.
In 2008, Keys married music producer Swizz Beatz who was rumored to still be married to singer Mashonda at the time. Confirming the rumors, Mashonda penned a letter posted to Twitter, blaming Keys for breaking up their marriage, CheatSheet reported.
"My marriage was not broken, as far as I knew we were celebrating our son's birth and getting ready to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary," she said. "If you are reading this Alicia, let me start by this, you know what you did. You know the role you played and you know how you contributed to the ending of my marriage."
Mashonda's open letter to Keys has since sparked decades-old speculation of the "U Don't Know My Name" singer as a homewrecker, and fans were quick to reignite the conversation after the announcement of the producer's new film.
So she was engaged to the man but didn't know his brother?
Also the irony of Alicia Keys producing a movie about a man calling off his wedding to immediately marry someone else isn't lost on me https://t.co/JcEfs47yR6
