Pop icon Rihanna marched alongside other New Yorkers on Sunday during a rally against racism toward Asians, holding signs and chanting as they walked through the streets.

The mogul was at the protest with her friend and assistant Tina Truong holding a sign that said "Hate = Racism Against God" and another that said, "#StopAsianHate."

Videos emerged online of Rihanna actually making the signs herself before joining the #StopAsianHate protest.

The hitmaker spent a few hours protesting through the streets with Truong and others amid a worrying spike in attacks on people of Asian descent.

While the attacks have occurred nationwide, New York City has had multiple horrifying assaults on Asian Americans or Asian immigrants over the last year.

The city's residents were astonished when video emerged last week of a man viciously kicking an elderly woman in front of a building while security guards sat back and watched, as Blavity previously reported. The man has since been arrested, but the attacks against people of Asian descent have continued unabated.

There was another attack in New York City's Central Park just one day before the march.

John Yang, executive director of advocacy group Asian Americans Advancing Justice, thanked Rihanna for attending the protest and bringing light to the attacks.

"Thank you @rihanna for being an ally for the Asian American community. We see you and appreciate you!" he wrote on Twitter.

People online also had a good laugh because video emerged of one interaction where a person asked Rihanna for her Instagram not realizing who she was. When she shared her handle, the person looked at the masked-and-sunglasses wearing Rihanna with shock.

"When Rih gives you her IG handle but you think she trolling," Truong wrote on Instagram.

Truong later took to Instagram to thank Rihanna for attending.

"This is what solidarity looks like! #stopaapihate #stopasianhate #callitahatecrime," Truong wrote.

Rihanna has previously spoken out about the increase in attacks on people of Asian descent on Twitter, condemning the mass shooting that took place in Atlanta last month.

"What happened yesterday in Atlanta was brutal, tragic & is certainly not an isolated incident by any means. AAPI hate has been rampantly perpetuated & it’s disgusting! I’m heartbroken for the Asian community & my heart is with the loved ones of those we lost. The hate must stop," she wrote.
